Lone Star Pastures was founded in 2019 by Dax and Dr. Jami West with a conviction that hasn't changed: your family deserves food raised the way nature intended. Located at 710 CR 168 in Whitesboro, Texas, our ranch is home to a herd of Scottish Highland cattle — one of the oldest and hardiest breeds in the world.
Highland beef is renowned for its exceptional flavor, leanness, and nutritional profile. Our cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished on open Texas pasture. No hormones, no vaccines, no pesticides, no herbicides, no antibiotics — ever. We believe that healthy land produces healthy animals, and healthy animals produce food worth eating.
We also raise pastured heirloom pork, chickens, and ducks — all supplemented with a non-GMO, corn-free, soy-free organic milo and sorghum feed. Nothing on our ranch contains MSG, artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
